By unanimous vote the annual club membership dues for adults was raised to $50 per year. Youth dues for those 17 years of age or younger were set at one half the current adult rate.
By unanimous vote article 10, section 2, which states that all transmitters must fly a frequency flag from their antenna, was deleted from the bylaws.
The Benton County Parks Board of Directors has an opening and Ed Rhodes has applied for the position. The parks board is in charge of creating a long term plan for the county park that houses our flying field. Having an advocate on the board would be a tremendous asset to the club. Good luck Ed!
Bill Harburg proposed that this years annual chili feed be moved to the next-to-the-last weekend in September, instead of the last. There was no objections from club members and the date will be changed provided there is no conflict with the Frisbee Golf Club on that date.
It has been noted that one of the new table tops is de-laminating. It was decided to keep an eye on it as it is too wet to deal with right now. Ted Lukins is still looking into the idea of using truck bed coating to seal the tables for better protection.
As usual, the gophers are going at it again and getting close to the runway. Using poison to control them was discussed as well as just keeping the area well mowed to allow predators better access to the varmints. Joe volunteered the use of his mower for this purpose. Club members seemed to favor trying the mowing option first.
Ed Kreusser will head up the fun fly committee again this year.
Ted Lukins has volunteered to organize pylon racing again this year.
The subject of membership cards was brought up again. Montanna Harkin, Jim Trump, and Tom Leach will look into printing some up.
