  • Speaker: Phil Hays, the chair for the Benton County Natural Areas and Parks Advisory Board

Phillip Hays is the chair for the Benton County Natural Areas and
Parks Advisory Board (Parks Board) that advises the Commissioners
about county parks business and advises the parks staff about
operations. He has been on the board for 18 years and has a good
perspective on issues relating to the Adair flying site. County Parks
will be developing a long term operating plan for Adair Park next
year. They have had some requests from the Adair community for
changes, and the new 600 house development across the road from the
aerodrome will have some impact on the park.

BCRCC needs to advise Board as to what we would like to see for
future management of the site and what problems and solutions the
club can offer for the planning process. This is important because if
the club doesn't make its wishes known we most likely won't be happy
with the result.
